Desert Shade: 2He meandered slowly down the dusty, worn street. At a glance, it seemed as if he wasn’t heading anywhere in particular, but if any of the other pedestrians on the streets looked him in the eye, they would see the glazed over look people get when they’re going on a long, monotonous journey.

The literal end of the road was close, he noted, staring out towards the horizon. He suppressed a chuckle. His journey, his road, was just beginning, leaving off where the physical road ended. Yes, this leg of his life would start in the same place the first leg had- in the heart of the desert.

Have people actually asked you if that's the demon from Naruto? o.o
Anyway, this is really cool. I like the foreshortening on the legs - it's something many artists (including myself) often neglect to do properly, and it really adds depth. I also love the way the volcanic-looking markings glow on the face. It's a really lovely piece.

No, but I know that people automatically think Naruto at the mention of fox demons. Thanks for the comment on the molten markings, that's exactly how I wanted it to appear- as if it itself were some volcanic entity all on its own. Thank you again.

When I first saw this I thought it was in 3-D! Aside from the excellent coloring, shading and form, it also carries a certain emotion to it that not many artists can pull off.

It's really just all around awesome! ^^
